I’m Mario, a successful London-based digital designer and art director. I’ve always loved photography, but until recently I’ve never been more than the typical amateur. My design work, though, has frequently involved being art director for photoshoots — including shoots for Bentley and Rolls Royce motors — and I’ve come to see the various disciplines as interconnected.
With the experience I’ve gained from this work — not to mention prodding from friends and family — I’ve taken the plunge and begun treating photography in a professional manner. The response so far has been gratifyingly positive. As yet, what’s represented on this website is a fairly small collection, but I’ll be adding to it on a regular basis.
I hope my passion for photography will be obvious in the quality of these images, in particular my passion for portrait and architectural photography. Portrait photography gives me a wonderful opportunity to work directly with people, capturing their essence and having the privilege of documenting their lives and special moments. When I’m photographing architecture, not only can I create dynamic images with the shapes of buildings and have the pleasure of sharing my perspectives, but photographing the same building twice can result in radically different images.
